Eating Preference: Scooping Kibble Out of the Bowl
One of the great things about CH cats is that they sometimes have to innovate in order to accomplish a goal.
Ever since he was a kitten, CG would eat his kibble two ways: The “normal way,” by eating it out of the food bowl, and the “CH way,” by scooping it onto the floor, where he’d then eat it.
I’ve wondered if he does this so his head tremors don’t cause him to bonk his head on the food bowl while eating. Or maybe he thought the food bowl he was eating out of (a standard-sized cat food bowl) was too small in diameter.

Either way, I’ve heard several CH cats do this, and I think it’s fascinating. Does your CH kitty do something similar?
Chairman will scoop it out with his mouth (pelican-like) and scuttle over to his mat, dump it on the floor, and eat it like that. Thus, i always find random bits of kibble everywhere around the house 🙂
Not only CH cats do this. My one and a half year old Siamese doesnt have the disorder, but he scoops his food. He has always done it, and it makes a big mess at first, but he picks up every piece by the time hes done
