Does Your CH Cat Flip Like Percy?

The other day Jacquie sent me this video of her kitten Percy. Take a look, and pay special attention around 0:46, when Percy suddenly flips a few feet.
Jacquie says whenever Percy’s feeling frisky, it’s almost as if he has springs in his legs, and he’ll suddenly propel himself a few feet (once up to 6 feet!). Of course this causes some concern, as he’s had some pretty hard landings and sometimes flips off the bed or couch.

Yes, both my CH kitties “flip” when they are playing and feeling frisky. Scares me sometimes because you never know where they’re going to land!
Tardy and Ziggy both do back flips, especially if they are sitting and then look up
Elf is definitely a flipper, although never more than 6-12″…
Percy is absolutely adorable!
Finigan will jump straight up sometimes, or foreword like a rocket for a few steps. Even though I have a ramp up to the bed, he will try to climb up but not before his body stiffens and he falls over backwards with an awful crash usually launching himself several feet in some direction at the same time and hitting his head on something. Has anyone tried a soft helmet of some kind ?
