Meet Kiro

You’ve already met Selena’s Roxy and Shinju, and now it’s time to meet Kiro, Selena’s most mobile kitty with cerebellar hypoplasia. She is stubborn, bossy and nosy — and is just a huge personality in a small body.

Walking: Kiro is the most mobile of the three girls and can walk and even run in her own crazy ways. (However, Selena says Kiro’s less mobile than Charlie.) She walks around, even runs, but very dramatically and falls down quite a bit. She always seems to be in a hurry to get to places and sometimes seem frustrated that her body can’t keep up with her mind.

Using the litter pan: Similar to Shinju, Kiro started using the big boys’ litter box on her own when she was about 4 weeks old. She now uses a large guinea pig cage as a litter box with her normal brothers. It allows her to lean against the side, when she turns around.

Eating and drinking: Again, not much of a problem, although she needs to be “set up” in front of the bowl.

Climbing: Although Kiro is mobile enough to climb, she doesn’t seem inclined to do it.

Head tremors: Like Shinju, this little lady has body tremors.

Any CH-related accidents: Kiro has lost both top canines; consequently, she needs daily flossing.
