Poll: Have Your CH Cats Chipped Their Teeth?

August 5, 2012

When we discovered that Ellie’s canines would have to be removed, we weren’t too surprised.

While learning about CH cats and their many injuries, I’ve heard several times that cats have chipped their teeth after head bonks and falls, and some have even needed to be removed. While some chipped teeth aren’t a concern, you should definitely visit your vet if you can see the inside canal of the tooth.

I was also curious how common chipped teeth are among CH cats, so I wanted to reach out to all of you to find out. Please take the poll below; feel free to vote once for each dental condition your CH cats have. (Unfortunately, you can’t vote once for each cat, but if you have two CH cats who have perfect teeth, but one with chipped teeth, you can vote once for each condition.) If you have a response that wasn’t included below, please feel free to mention it in the comments. Thanks!
