*Updated* Does Your CH Cat Have ‘Frog Legs’?

Sometimes our cats just do the cutest things.
In addition to the “CH stance,” it sounds like some of you have noticed another phenomena: frog legs.
Sheila noticed Buster’s frog legs, Renee sent in a photo about Kiki’s frog legs, we’ve noticed it on Ellie — even Rich commented that his CH cat Kitty does the same.

I was at a shelter the other day and even saw this (non-CH) dog doing it!

Life with Cerebellar Hypoplasia Cats 
OMG!!! YES!!! Jasper has them but I haven’t taken a photo of it. For him, it mostly happens when he’s on the tile in the kitchen or “prepping” to sit a spell on the carpet. TOO FUNNY!!!! He also tends to high step his back legs almost if not flat out stepping on top of his front feet while walking. I’ll totally get my camera ready as when I cook he comes to the kitchen to watch! 😀
Chairman does the frog legs a lot, especially if he goes too fast and his legs slip and he goes *whumpf* on the floor 😛
Kiara does the frog legs all the time! I didn’t even consider the fact that it could be a CH thing.
I have no idea if it *is* a CH thing, but I thought it was funny that several of us have noticed it! Do you have any photos?
That’s so cute! I guess the wide frog legs give them better stability?
You know, what I love the best about this blog is that it shows how differences are just another kind of ‘normal.’ In this case it’s about cats, but the general perspective can be applied to people as well. Thanks Amanda!
sarahs sierria is such a lover cat im glad she has sarah we are long time friends on line and i cant imagine sarah with out her cat she is so adorable and i have seen her play many times watching the struggles she goes threw can be heart breaking but the love she gives sarah is so worth it keep doing a great job sarah the way you love animals is one of the reasons i love you robertschultz portland oregon
So is the frog legs lying in cats a CH thing or do non CH do it too?
I have a kitten that’s 4 weeks old and his leg looks just like the look frog legs what can I do to get them right
